非常難得在香港可以欣賞到這位殿堂級傳奇人物的展覽，縱使不是她的粉絲族，
但一想到能近距離接觸其心血作品，便忍不住特意抽空過海去朝拜一下~
入場時獲贈精美場刊，同時亦設有語音導賞(可借用播放機聆聽)，很感謝主辦單位細心的安排。
本來以為只有數十件服裝展出，但入場後才發現原來有過佰件經典作品，
展現她由上世紀70年代至21世紀的作品，從Punk至Haute Couture都有，
對於我這個對服裝設計及布料運用有濃厚興趣的人，真是喜出望外+大飽眼福呢~~ ^0^
S/S 1983 Punkature ~ "Tube" Skirt (Cotton Stockinet)
A/W 1984 Clint Eastwood ~ "Hands" Outfit (Cotton denim shirt, transfer-printed wool scarf)
S/S 1985 The Mini-Crini collection saw an increasingly shaped look, the antithesis of the masculine shoulder pads and tight hip styles that were current in the 1980s. Westwood’s historical research had led her to believe that clothes were about changing the shape of the body, about having a restriction. She now wanted to make things that fitted. Inspired by the ballet Petrushka, Westwood devised a mini-crini that combined the tutu with an abbreviated form of the Victorian crinoline. Though sexy, the mini-crini was also childish. Its shape echoed the old-fashioned party frock, while the stars, polka dots and stripes came out of Disney cartoons.

Westwood's reworking of the corset has become one of her most regonisable trademarks. Romatic and historically accurate, the corsets are also surprisingly practical. Stretch fabric allow ease of movement, and removable sleeves convert a daytime garment to evening wear. Once a symbol of contrains, corsets are now an expression of femail sexuality and empowerment.

1991 Cut Slash & Pull ~ She used denim with hand-cut gashes & faded edges, for the lighter fabric, she adapted a broderie anglaise machine programme, omitting the embroidery but retaining the fine regular cuts.
